Peacekeeper Shotgun

For Apex: Legends we needed a new weapon that filled the role of an energy-based firearm in our armory of ballistic weapons. We were light on the shotgun category, so the team decided that we needed an energy-based shotgun. The Peacekeeper's initial concept had two design features: it was energy based and it had a lever action. We looked over reference of tactical lever action rifles and the good old Model 1887 (this was a throwback to our MW2 days). First we determined what the silhouette was going to read like from third person. After a few rounds of sils, we agreed on a shape that worked well and immediately indicated to us "DANGER SHOTGUN". From there we flushed out details and made it into an angry, break action, battery-magazine fed, hate spewing scattergun. I love my job.

Peacekeeper Shotgun Silhouettes Round 3. The winning silhouettes were fleshed out and detailed to give us a good idea of what the world model will look like.
